Five-year forecast approved

The treasurer presented an updated five-year forecast with projections in the black, and the superintendent offered a few more details on West Liberty-Salem’s school report card Tuesday during an otherwise routine meeting of the board of education.

Superintendent Kraig Hissong reviewed with the board still unofficial state reporting data that shows the district met value-added measures as well as adequate yearly progress and also hit on all but one indicator, which was eighth-grade science.

As for the five-year forecast, Treasurer Steve Godwin shows an unreserved fund balance in the positive through the end of Fiscal Year 2017.
