Tri-County plans trips in conjunction with senior meals

Tri-County Community Action announces that several upcoming trips are planned in conjunction with its senior congregate meal program for ages 60 and older, with Transportation Logan County providing round-trip transportation to and from the following locations:

• West Liberty — Friday, Oct. 19, bus departs from West Liberty Church of God at 11 a.m., travels to Patterson Avenue Café in Bellefontaine for lunch and then to Logan County Museum and Orr Mansion for guided tour; lunch menu: potato crunch pollock, seasoned red skin potatoes, tangy spinach, fruit, dinner roll, beverage; return trip to West Liberty at 1:30 p.m.

• Zanesfield —  Monday, Oct. 22, bus departs Zanesfield United Methodist Church at 11 a.m.; lunch at Patterson Avenue Café and then to Logan County Museum and Orr Mansion; menu: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, beverage; return to Zanesfield at 1:30 p.m.

• Lakeview — Wednesday, Oct. 31, bus departs Lakeview Young at Heart Senior Center at 11 a.m.; lunch at Patterson Avenue Café and then tour of Blue Jacket Dairy in Bellefontaine; menu: cheese omelet, sausage links, sautéed onions and peppers, roasted redskin potatoes, banana, cinnamon bagel with cream cheese, beverage; return to Lakeview at 1:30 p.m.

Advance registration is required for the activities. Call 593-0039 or register at the various congregate meal sites at least two days prior to the scheduled trips.

Tri-County Community Action suggests a $2 contribution for the meal and $1 for bus transportation. The Orr Mansion suggests a donation for the guided tour.
