Mr. and Mrs. Greg Buxton

Mr. and Mrs. Greg Buxton Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kenton provided the setting for a June 13 ceremony uniting Theresa Gress and Greg Buxton in marriage. Pastor John Dyer provided the nuptials, with music performed by pianist Michelle Kindell.

The bride wore a Grecian-style gown of ivory chiffon over satin with ruching on the bodice. The back was accented with an ivory pearl and sequin broach and lettuce-edged chiffon falling to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of ivory hydrangeas with freesia accents.

Katie Buxton, daughter of the bridegroom, served as the maid of honor. She wore a sage green halter gown with an organza overlay and carried a bouquet of ivory hydrangeas.

Jayce Isaacs Gress, son of the bride, performed the duties of best man. Nya Worrell attended the guest book, while her brother Nathan Worrell provided the guests with programs and wedding bells.

A reception followed at AMVETS Post 20 in Kenton.

The new Mrs. Buxton, a daughter of Sue Hawthorne of Coshocton and David Gress of Zanesville, is an associate at Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America.

Mr. Buxton, a son of Mike and Becky Buxton of Kenton, is also an associate at Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America.

Following a wedding trip to Mackinac Island, Mich., the couple is at home in rural Bellefontaine.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Thomas Yohey

Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Thomas Yohey A recently restored historic home in Urbana provided the setting for an afternoon ceremony uniting Julie Ann Marie Yoder and Kyle Thomas Yohey in marriage June 27. Pastor Mark Hackworth provided the nuptials.

The bride wore a mermaid-style gown of tissue taffeta with a peek-a-boo tulle accent on the sweetheart neckline.

Sisters of the bride Camy Ashley and Johanna Smith were the matrons of honor. They wore dresses in citrus colors of green, yellow and orange, and carried bouquets of tropical lilies designed by the bride’s mother. Alandra Ashley, niece of the bride, served as the flower girl.

Brandon Yohey performed the duties of best man for his brother, while James Yohey, uncle of the bridegroom, was a bridegroomsman. Ringbearers were Micah Smith, nephew of the bride, and Jacob Banion, nephew of the bridegroom.

A backyard picnic-style reception followed the ceremony.

The new Mrs. Yohey, a daughter of Timothy and Sue Yoder of West Liberty, is a hair stylist at Studio 36, Urbana.

Mr. Yohey, a son of Danny and Karen Yohey of Terre Haute and Karen and Chris Powell of Bellefontaine, is employed by Rittal Corporation of Urbana and the Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball Team’s tech crew.

The couple took a wedding trip to Easton Town Center for a shopping spree, and currently reside in Urbana.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bryan David Hensel

Mr. and Mrs. Bryan David Hensel The Whitmore House in Bellefontaine provided the setting for an evening ceremony uniting Amy Michelle Doty and Bryan David Hensel in marriage June 19.

The Rev. A.W. Purdin provided the nuptials.

The bride wore a white spaghetti strap gown, with a beaded and pearl-adorned bodice. She carried a blue and yellow spring flower arrangement.

Daughter of the bride Kelsey Helms served as the maid of honor. She wore a cornflower blue floor-length dress with a black bow and carried an arrangement similar to the bride’s bouquet.

Bailee Magnuson, daughter of the bride, was the flower girl. Brother of the bridegroom Bruce Hensel performed the duties of best man.

A reception followed at the Whitmore House.

The new Mrs. Hensel, a daughter of Darla Williams and Robert M. Doty, both of Bellefontaine, is a registered nurse manager for the 178th Air National Guard and works for Whirlpool Corporation.

Mr. Hensel, a son of Charles and Janet Hensel of Kenton, is a production coordinator for Honda of America Mfg.

Following a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., the couple is at home at 1429 Township Road 174, West Liberty.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Coy Evans

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Coy Evans The gazebo at Winner Harvest Barn provided the setting for an afternoon ceremony May 9 uniting Stephanie Nicole Freehauf and Sidney Coy Evans in marriage, with Pastor Bart Zirkle performing the nuptials.

Sound Entertainment provided music.

The bride wore a strapless gown with a beaded empire waist bodice, accented with a mediumlength train and elbow-length veil, adorned with rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses, accented with white lilies and cascading greenery.

Serving as maid of honor was Jessica Breidenbach, sister-in-law of the bride. Attendants included Brooke Poppe, sister of the bride, Jill Nevers and junior bridesmaid Hayli Evans, daughter of the bridegroom. They wore watermelon-colored gowns with pickups on the lower half and a sash with a bow around the waist. They carried bouquets of watermelon stargazer lilies and greenery, wrapped in ribbon.

Flower girl honors were shared by Zoey Freehauf, daughter of the bride, and Grace Evans, daughter of the bridegroom. Gage Freehauf, son of the bride, and Logan Evans, son of the bridegroom, served as ringbearers.

William Evans performed the duties of best man for his brother, with bridegroomsmen including Jamie Brown, Shane Freehauf, brother of the bride, and junior bridegroomsman Troy Freehauf, brother of the bride.

A reception followed at Winner Harvest Barn.

The new Mrs. Evans, daughter of Steve and LeAnn Freehauf and Debbie Freehauf, all of Zanesfield, is a stay-at-home mother.

Mr. Evans, son of Maynard and Dawn Evans of DeGraff, is a driver specialist for Carter Lumber in Huntsville.

Following a wedding trip to Haspin Acres, Ind., the couple is at home at 3549 S. County Road 31, DeGraff.

Tree Links Golf Course provided the setting for an early evening ceremony May 30 uniting Helena Haley and Jim Berton in marriage.

The Rev. Karen Blackburn performed the nuptials and Bev Dixon escorted the bride down the aisle.

The bride wore a strapless satin gown with a black ribbon accenting the bodice and carried a bouquet of red roses.

Amy Wilson served as matron of honor, with Virginia Morrison, Kameren Haley, Beth Collins, Toni Coons and Loretta Sims attending as bridesmaids. They wore black dresses in various styles of their choosing and carried bouquets of red gerbera daisies.

Trell Clark performed the duties of best man, with Jim Clement, Jason Coons, J.R. Miller, Mark Collins and Matt Wilt serving as bridegroomsmen.

Gabby Williams and Daja Wilson served as flower girls.

A reception followed at the golf course.

The couple honeymooned at the Excellence Resort, Punta Cana.
