Montrose United Methodist Church in Montrose, Mich., provided the setting for an afternoon ceremony uniting Wendy L. Williams and Craig D. Rutan Oct. 10. The Rev. Wayne Ferrigan provided the nuptials. The bride wore a white satin A-line halter with a split front and a detailed marine sash and bow and carried a fresh cut bouquet of Casablanca lilies, white roses with pink wax flowers, and light and dark blue delphiniums. Her bouquet was tied with a white satin ribbon and accented with her grandmother’s bracelet. Sister of the bride Cindy Greig served as the matron of honor, while Mandy Bonventre-Orange, Bryn Daring-Stewart and Lisa Williams, sister-in-law of the bride, attended as bridesmaids. They wore satin marine blue full-length halter gowns with chiffon overlay on the halter. They carried fresh cut bouquets tied with silver sheer ribbons with star-gazer lilies, hot pink miniature roses, pink wax flowers and light and dark delphiniums. Zach Swisher performed the duties of best man. Brother of the bridegroom Ben Rutan, along with Don Vanderhule and J.R. Stewart were bridegroomsmen. Ushers were Brendan Sherry and Adam Bergman. Flower girl Emma Swisher was accompanied by ringbearer Brady Orange. A reception followed at Saint Roberts Parish Hall in Flushing, Mich. The new Mrs. Rutan, a daughter of Betty and Burnie Williams of Montrose, is a legal secretary. Mr. Rutan, a son of Diane and Doug Rutan of Hudson, Mich., is an Icyene insulation specialist. Following a wedding trip to New Orleans and a two-day cruise, the couple is at home at 308 E. High Ave.

Bellefontaine Island at Indian Lake provided the setting for an evening ceremony uniting Ashley Nicole Haynes and Kyle Adam Jordan in marriage, with the Rev. Karen Blackburn performing the nuptials. The bride selected a white all-over draped taffeta trumpet gown with a button back and sweeping train. She carried a bouquet of lime and tangerine roses, yellow and hot pink gerbera daisies, wrapped in white ribbon. Aubree Jeffrey was maid of honor, with Morgan Kaser, Brandy Newland, Kylynn Jordan and Isabella Jordan attending as bridesmaids. They wore tangerine dresses in styles of their choosing and carried orange, yellow and hot pink gerbera daisies. Malena Shonebarger was the flower girl and Ethan Murphy the ringbearer. The duties of best man were shared by Ryan Jordan and Skilar Jordan, while Nick Gilbert and Joe Jonkman served as bridegroomsmen. A reception followed on the island. The new Mrs. Jordan, daughter of Melinda McGrath of Troy and Robert Rose of Lakeview, is a compounding chemist/pharmacy technician. Mr. Jordan, son of Dorothy Jordan of Ada and the late Ronald Jordan, is a first responder at Honda of America Mfg. The couple plans a winter honeymoon to the Bahamas and is at home in Belle Center.

The Wes Yoder Farm at West Liberty was the site of an outdoor ceremony Aug. 1 uniting Hannah Faith Manger and Lee Wayne Yoder in marriage, with the Rev. Bob Overberg performing the nuptials. Aaron Francis and Anita Salyer provided guitar and mandolin music. The bride chose a strapless white chiffon gown and carried a large bouquet of wildflowers. Lowren Reifenrath served as matron of honor for her sister, with Liza Jacobs, Leah Yoder and Lane Yoder, all sisters of the groom, Taryn Williams, Jaime Schiferl, Leah Koerner, Jessica Spivey and Mandy Stewart attending as bridesmaids. They wore pale yellow chiffon dresses and carried smaller bouquets of wildflowers. Mea Murphy was the flower girl. John DiMattio performed the duties of best man, while Marcel Niklaus, Karl Schreiber, Joe Hance, Jake Jacobs, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Eric Manger, brother of the bride, Jordan Callahan, cousin of the bride, and Kile Eichenauer and Aaron Quinton served as bridegroomsmen. A reception followed at the Champaign Reception Center, Urbana. The new Mrs. Yoder, daughter of Marty and Tammy Manger of Cincinnati, is a registered nurse at Mercy Mount Airy Hospital, Cincinnati. Mr. Yoder, a son of Wayne and Belinda Yoder of West Liberty, is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Cincinnati. Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple is at home in Cincinnati.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Marysville provided the setting for the Aug. 15 evening wedding of Jacqueline Marie Bowsher and Benjamin Kelly VanVoorhis, with Fr. David Poliafico performing the nuptials. The bride wore a white a-line side-drape strapless gown with a medium-length train accented in tiny pink embroidered flowers. The birdcage veil made with Russian net was adorned with a crystal jeweled silver comb. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, fuchsia calla lilies, green cymbidium orchids, hydrangeas and mums, adorned with rhinestones, baby’s breath and cascading greenery. Her sister, Leslie Bowsher, served as maid of honor, with attendants Jenni Hesser and Jessie Brown, sisters of the bridegroom, Kristin Hurley, Monica Bowsher, sister-in-law of the bride, and junior bridesmaid Hannah Hiler, goddaughter of the bride. They wore watermelon-colored gowns of their choosing and carried bouquets of roses to match their gowns, accented with light green mums and baby’s breath wrapped in ribbon. Autumn Kleismit, cousin of the bridegroom, served as flower girl, and Alexander VanVoorhis, son of the bride and bridegroom, was the ringbearer. Jobe Barney performed the duties of best man, while Chris Bowsher, brother of the bride, Sean Short, Derrick Miller and Justin VanBuskirk served as bridegroomsmen. They wore black tuxedos with watermelon-colored vests. A reception followed in the Catholic Community Center. The new Mrs. VanVoorhis, daughter of Mike and Marsha Bowsher of East Liberty, earned a business degree from The Ohio State University and is employed at the Transportation Research Center, East Liberty. Mr. VanVoorhis, son of Kelly VanVoorhis of Bellefontaine and Kelly Hurley of Huntsville, also is employed at the Transportation Research Center and is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Columbus State. The couple is at home in Bellefontaine.
