Mr. and Mrs. Robert Terrill

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Terrill of Ridgeway celebrated 50 years of marriage and the 89th birthday of Mrs. Terrill’s mother Irene Elsasser on Nov. 8.

Mr. Terrill and the former Nancy Elsasser were married Nov. 8, 1959, by the Rev. Richard Baker at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Kenton.

He retired from farming in 1999 and school bus driving from Ridgemont Public Schools in 2007. She retired as director of the Ridgemont Public Library and continues to work part time.

They are the parents of Rob (Tasha) Terrill of Prospect, Susan (Brent) Harder of Dublin and Ryan (Lora) Terrill of Troy. Fifteen grandchildren complete their family.

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moore

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moore, 706 Cooper Ave., marked 25 years of marriage Sunday.

Mr. Moore and the former Shelley Lynn Hatfield were married Nov. 15, 1984, by the Rev. John B. Ellington in Russells Point.

They are the parents of Kim (Dal) MacDonald, Brent Moore, Tracey (Dan) Notestine, all of Bellefontaine, and Todd (Misty) Stryker of DeGraff. Six grandchildren complete their family.

 

 

Bill and Carol Troth

Bill and Carol Troth, 524 Belmont Ave., recently marked 50 years of marriage with a three-week vacation via Route 66, including a ride on the Durango and Silverton Railroad in Colorado, a tour of Mesa Verde and five days in Branson, Mo.

They were married Nov. 15, 1959, by the Rev. Paul Bauders at the First United Methodist Church, Bellefontaine.

He is retired from Super Food Services and she from Family Pharmacy, both in 1996.

They are the parents of Michael Troth, James Troth and Bethany Dwinnell. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren complete their family.

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Newman

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Newman, 1002 Cypress St., Junction City, Kan., plan to mark 60 years of marriage with a family get together.

Mr. Newman and the former Carol Roebuck were married Nov. 20, 1949, by the late Rev. Cecil C. Bailey in Belle Center.

They are the parents of Mike (Kathy) Newman of Simpsonville, S.C., Joy (Darrell) Miller of Napierville, Ill., Mark Newman of Junction City, Kan., and Milan (Tammy) Newman of Manhattan, Kan. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren complete their family.

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Doty

Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Doty of Belle Center recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Old Barn Out Back in Lima.

Mr. Doty and the former Ruth Newman were married Oct. 17, 1959, in Bloomingdale, Ill., by the Rev. George Beckstrom.

They were joined by their children and grandchildren, Jay and Julie Miller and Jalie, Joanne Childers and Julie, Marian Hein and Vern, granddaughter Melody Henderson and sons, Jimmy and Justin.
