Patrol reports crashes, charges

Three injured

Three people were injured in a Saturday afternoon crash on County Road 1 near Township Road 181, troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

The names of the victims, who were taken by Bellefontaine and West Liberty squads to area hospitals for non-life-threatning injuries, were not immediately available.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 4:45 p.m.

Motorcyclist injured in Union County

Eric Spaulding, 19, of Marsyville, was flown by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus after his motorcycle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jane Eastman, 65, of West Mansfield, at about 11:35 a.m. Thursday, troopers report.

Both were northbound on State Route 4 when Ms. Eastman slowed for construction and Mr. Spaulding collded with the rear of her sport-utility vehicle.

Marsha Hartley, 56, of Richwood, was reportedly taken Memorial Hospital of Union County for minor injuries. Troopers cited Mr. Spaulding for failure to maintain assured cleared distance ahead.

Injury crash nets OVI charge

Troopers arrested Shawn Conley, 25, of DeGraff, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs after a 4:35 a.m. Sunday crash on Cretcher Street in DeGraff. He was reportedly injured in the crash but further details were not immediately available.

Other OVI charges filed

James Johnson Jr., 47, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a 2 a.m. Sunday stop at the intersection of Detroit Street and Sandusky Avenue in the city.

Dawn Henry, 40, of West Mansfield, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs after being stopped at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday on State Route 366 near Lakeview.
