| WL-Salem girls dominate OHC CC team |

The West Liberty-Salem girls cross country team dominated the Ohio Heritage Conference this season with its fifth consecutive league championship. The Tigers reaped the rewards of their efforts on the all-league team.
The Tigers’ Shawnda Henault won the OHC girls league race and joined Meghan Vogel and Jasmine Smith in earning first-team honors. Earning second-team honors for WL-Salem were Jordan Smith, Savanna Shipp and Sarah Williams. The Tigers’ Sarah Murphy received an honorable mention award. Triad’s Rebecca Levings also earned a spot on the honorable mention list. The top-seven runners earned spots on the OHC first team, while those finishing eighth through 14th received second-team honors. The next highest finisher for each team was named honorable mention. The remaining OHC first-team honorees included Southeastern’s Marie Egbert, Northeastern’s Molly King and Kyleigh Foley and Cedarville’s Karyn Zaage. Also earning a place on the OHC second team were Southeastern’s Betsy Egbert and Ashley Biddle and Northeastern’s Kasey Shoemaker and Sierra Knisley. Remaining honorable mention awards went to SCC’s Addie Cain, Northeastern’s Kayla Shoemaker, Southeastern’s Shelby Jaynes, Mechanicsburg’s Laila Fifield and Cedarville’s Elisabeth Grafton. |
