Patrol called to motorcycle, vehicle crashes

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded about 5:50 p.m. Friday to a motorcycle crash that occurred at State Route 273 and County Road 97.


Jamie Martin, 40, of Kenton, sustained incapacitating injuries in  a one-vehicle rollover crash Saturday night on State Route 292 just south of County Road 50.

Troopers report Christine Pemberton, 47, of LaRue, was northwest bound on S.R. 273 when she lost control, went off the right side of the road and was ejected.

Ms. Pemberton was transported by relatives in a private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injures.

An item in Saturday's Examiner incorrectly stated the time of the crash.

A Kenton man was MedFlighted Saturday night to the  Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University in Columbus with incapacitating injuries following a single-vehicle rollover crash on State Route 292 just south of County Road 50.

Reports indicate Jamie Martin, 40, was southbound on S.R. 292 about 10:15 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and reportedly overturned several times before coming to rest on its top in a field.

Troopers report alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and test results for blood-alcohol content are pending.

Bokescreek Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.

Mr. Martin was cited for failure to control.

The crash remains under investigation.
