West Mansfield woman avoids prison in heroin death

sMARYSVILLE — Amanda Gail Myers, 38, of 2825 Storms Road, West Mansfield, will spend the next five years living under community control after pleading guilty Monday in Union County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Don Fraser said if Myers violates terms of the sentence, she could face as many as 30 months in prison for her role in the heroin overdose death of her boyfriend, Ronald Eugene Crawford, in December. Ms. Myers, records show, neglected to call emergency services in time to possibly save his life, knowing he suffered an overdose earlier in the day and at times was unresponsive.
