Chiefs blank Triad in tune-up game

Bellefontaine’s Kyle Brunner fired a four-hit shutout as the host Chiefs beat Triad 5-0 in a tune-up for tournament games later this week.

The Chiefs are now 24-5 on the season. They play Kenton Ridge at 5 p.m. Thursday in Urbana in a Division II sectional final.

Triad battles Ft. Loramie at 5 p.m. Wednesday in a Division IV tournament game in Sidney.

Brunner struck out 10 and did not walk a batter.
