Paul Benedetti shared several topics related to local economic development Monday during the Bellefontaine Rotary Club’s meeting at the Friendly Senior Center.
Mr. Benedetti, president and CEO of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce, said some people willing to start a business locally remain reluctant to do so because of the lingering memory of the 2009 recession.
“This is the new norm, the new good,” he said, pointing to some positive economic indicators.
The March unemployment rate in Logan County was 5 percent which is less than the recently released state average of 5.7 percent and better than 2008-09 levels, the chamber chief said.
