Trustees in Lake Township during a regular meeting Tuesday authorized their half of a joint project proposal with Liberty Township Trustees to stop flooding on Township Road 200, and heard an update on the expansion of the Cherokee Run Landfill.
Trustees are planning to partner with Liberty Township to pay for a series of upgrades to T.R. 200 between County Road 18 to the west, and the railroad crossing to the east.
Excavation of a roadside ditch on the north side of T.R. 200 to redirect water flow, and installation of an 18-inch culvert are two examples of recommendations made by the Logan County Engineer’s Office to curb flooding of the Hankinson Ditch.
