Emma E. Wisse Miller, 88, of Lakeview, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 7, 2014, at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
Emma was born in Foraker on Jan. 20, 1926, to the late Phillip and Mary Lamb Wisse.
She married Max Miller and he preceded her in death, along with six siblings, Bud, Edward, Nick, Helen Hughes, Marge Lauriton and Wanda Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Miller of Lakeview and Phillip Miller of Kenton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Faurot and Phyllis Wood, both of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Emma was a 1944 graduate of Kenton High School. She worked for 18-plus years at Albers Grocery in Bellefontaine and worked for 20 years as a paper delivery driver for the Columbus Dispatch. She was an astute yard sale enthusiast as a buyer and seller during her younger years.
The Rev. Bryan Meadows leads a funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire.
