Lakers fight back late, but unable to catch Tigers

Jackson Center’s boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead and held on to edge host Indian Lake 55-50 on Saturday in a non-league meeting.

The Lakers slip to 3-3 on the season.

Jackson Center grabbed a commanding 21-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers led 33-19 at halftime.

Jackson Center pushed its lead to 18 points (46-28) at the end of the third stanza.

Indian Lake stormed back in the fourth period, outscoring the Tigers 22-9. However, Jackson Center was able to stave on the threat to get the win.
