Police Chief Joe Freyhof told the Russells Point Village Council during a regular meeting Monday that all of his officers have been recertified for radar and lidar, with hours of visual observations and actual equipment qualifications.
Within the next few weeks, he said, they will qualify with firearms. All officers are annually certified for all equipment carried on their utility belts and any additional equipment demanded by the Village Standard Operating Procedure.
In other matters, council passed the final reading of a resolution in support of the Great Miami River Project, an outside plan to construct a walking path along the village river bank.
