Two sentenced, another pleads

Two defendants were sentenced and another pleaded guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark S. O’Connor recently.

Monty Jeanneret, 19, of Russells Point, was sentenced to the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility, five years’ community control and ordered to pay court costs, restitution and attorney fees for complicity to burglary; and Richard Legge, 27, of Belle Center: three years’ community control and ordered to pay a $250 fine, court costs and attorney fees for failure to provide a current address to the sheriff’s office as a registered sex offender.

Jerry Nelson, 27, of Russells Point, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs and one count of possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing is scheduled for April 23.

In other court news, a city man faces prison after pleading guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition.
