Fast start propels Falcons past Ben Logan

Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team experienced some growing pains Saturday as a young Raiders’ squad was outmatched against a veteran Graham team.

The Falcons (2-1, 1-0), who returned four starters this season, used several big runs and a dominating defensive effort to run away with a 63-36 win in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.

The Raiders (0-3, 0-1) were plagued by 29 turnovers .

“The way Graham plays gives us trouble,” said Ben Logan coach Donnie Sosby. “They are a physical team and we are having a hard time adapting to that style of play. The defensive pressure bothered us, but that’s going to come with the youth we have.

“I told the girls I want them to think about the pressure they faced because that’s where we need to be for 32 minutes. We’re young, but we have to do a better job against pressure. It’s not going to get easier for us.”
