COLUMBUS — As political candidates are making their final push for the upcoming election, Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer did a little campaigning of his own during his weekly press conference Monday.

Meyer has been asked each week of the season if he was ready to promote his quarterback Braxton Miller as a Heisman Trophy candidate. Each previous time he was asked, the answer was no.
However, his tune has changed.
When asked again Monday, the OSU head coach had a different reply.
“Do I believe he’s a Heisman candidate? I do,” said Meyer. “I didn’t say that before. But I do believe Braxton is a Heisman candidate. He has to play much better. However, just from sheer production of a team that’s 9 and 0, it puts him in that category, and that’s without knowing all the other candidates.”
